A little bit about me
Angela Donnelly
I was born and raised on the Gower coastline of South Wales. I was the luckiest little girl because I grew up on a cliff top over looking a beautiful secluded beach. I’m afraid I can’t tell you much more about that because that’s where my 1st story begins but I can tell you that I did a lot of my homework sitting on that cliff top.. Shhh don’t tell my teachers!!!
My babies – I am blessed to be a mum of two wonderful children who make me incredibly proud everyday. Watching my boys grow has truly been the most amazing journey of my life… And my stories are written for them.
My husband – is genuinely the most kind, patient, caring man that you could ever meet. My story would never have been told without his encouragement and support. I am proud to call him my number 1 fan..
How did I become an author?

How did I become an author?
That is actually a very interesting story because if someone had told me a couple of years ago that I was going to be an author I would never have believed them!
I have always known that I had a great imagination and a very creative mind but I honestly thought that everyone did! I truly believed that everyone went about their daily lives in the same wacky world as me dreaming up stories and generally being able to disappear into a make believe bubble in their mind!!
Until one night in February 2024 I had a dream, a dream that would start my journey as an author!
My dream began with me just sitting at a table writing a book and it felt fantastic. My dream slowly progressed into a story, the story of The Magic Rock – Maybe it was a dream or maybe it was a stifled memory 😉. Only you can answer that for me!
All I know was that it felt like I was watching a movie in my mind all night long and when I woke I couldn’t forget it.. I mean I really couldn’t forget it! I was so distracted it was all that I could think about.. When my youngest asked for a glass of milk, I happily replied “yes darling” but brought him orange juice! That kind of distraction!
So I picked up my iPad (just an iPad as it was all that I had handy!) and I started typing.. The feeling of writing and setting my mind free was amazing and I wrote and I wrote and I wrote… And in December of 2024 I had published my first book.
Since then I have written but not yet published the second in the series of The Magic Rock along with several others. As someone once said to me it’s amazing how the universe can send you in the direction of what you are meant to do!!!
I am only at the start of my journey but I feel like I have opened a box in my mind and I am enjoying every second of writing all the magical stories that have been built up in my head for as long as I can remember…

Believe in yourself!
If you are creative with a flowing imagination- don’t be afraid to write or draw or design your creation.
If you are clever – don’t be afraid to learn more. Being able to take in information is a talent!
If you are an empath – feeling strong supportive emotions when others have got challenges, use that. It’s an emotion that creates a truly wonderful caring person.
If you can sing – then sing to the world. We do want to hear you..
If you are a chatterbox – use that skill to tell stories to the world.. it’s a talent!
If you are shy – enjoy the world around you and don’t be afraid, the world needs your calmness as much as any other talent.
If you are excitable – like me! There are times when you need to control that excitement but there are times when our high energy and enthusiasm can make us the most productive people in the room. It’s a talent!
The list goes on and on but whatever you do best – Be kind to each other and believe in yourself – everyone is talented in so many different ways.. and don’t wait for the universe to show you – just go for it..
